THE TRÓCAIRE campaign for 2021 explores the impact of conflict on families in South Sudan. ‘No one can face life in isolation …
We need a community that supports and helps us, in which we can help one another to keep looking ahead. How important it is to dream together…
By ourselves, we risk seeing mirages, things that are not there. Dreams, on the other hand, are built together. Let us dream, then, as a single human family, as fellow travellers sharing the same flesh, as children of the same earth which is our common home, each of us bringing the richness of his or her beliefs and convictions, each of us with his or her own voice, brothers and sisters all.’ (Pope Francis)
The Trócaire boxes for Lent are available in our Churches. We invite and encourage you to collect one for your home and during the season of Lent through your financial support think of the people of South Sudan who are struggling and displaced.

Weekly Donations now available Online. Sincere thanks to all our parishioners who have contributed during these restricted times when we were unable to personally be together at our Masses. Willie Walsh was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Killaloe. Cletus Noone was ordained a Franciscan Priest; sixty years later these two men find themselves in ministry in Ennis. Bishop Willie as Bishop Emeritus and Fr. Cletus as a member of the Ennis Franciscan Fraternity.
Bishop Willie has lived almost all of his priesthood in Ennis serving as Teacher, Priest and Bishop.
Fr. Cletus has served in different Friaries and in best known for St. Anthony’s Novena each Tuesday and his weekly Radio Show on a Saturday night on Clare FM. Imeall Boirne Youth Gathering. On Friday nights, a group of secondary school youths from the Imeall Bourne Parishes gather in Ruan Community Centre from 7.30-9:00pm. They enjoy time together, meet new people of their own age group, and have ‘gadget free’ time, as phones are not allowed. One of their outings last year was to the R.N.L.I. Lifeboat Station in Galway, to see the valuable contribution of the volunteers to the service. The Club is based on the values of N.E.T. Ministries (www.netministty.ie).
At Easter, every year, the group goes on a Surfing Retreat to Donegal, which all participants have found to be a very special time. All info from Mary Wynne or Ellen Jones.
