Baptisms in the Imeall Boirne Parishes: 

Baptisms take place each Sunday of the Month at 12:30pm rotating between all 9 churches.

Dates for February 2020 - Ballinruan 12th -  Dysart 9th - Kilnaboy 16th - Boston 23rd

First Holy Communion The next “Do This In Memory” Mass for the First Holy Communion children in Imeall Boirne takes place next Saturday Feb 15th Boston at 6:30pm /Ruan 8:00pm. On Sunday Feb 16th Crusheen 9:30am /Corofin at 11:00am.


Holy Week /Easter Meeting A meeting to plan Holy Week / Easter will be held in Ruan Community Hall on Tuesday 11th Feb at 7:30pm. We invite all Choir Directors & Members, Eucharistic Ministers, Readers, and all involved with the celebration of Masses and Lay Led Liturgies across Imeall Boirne to attend. 

Fr. Adrian Pelo from Ennis Friary will be in attendance to discuss how best, we, as a pastoral area can come together and prepare to celebrate Holy Week and Easter.

Ruan/Dysart History Group: We plan to commemorate “The Decade of Centenaries”. They are working on The Ruan Barracks Raid 18/10/1920. Ruan Cumann na MBan formation 1917 and Dysart 1920 consisted of 44 members. They are looking for photos or any info regarding same and any help would be very welcome for the running of the commemoration later on in the year. History group meet at Morty’s each Wed at 8:30pm. 


Fundraising Cake Sale: We are holding Cake Sale this Saturday 8th from 6pm -9pm with all funds raised going toward the History Group and the local Ruan/Dysart CFR Group (Community First Responders) Group. 


CFR Group: We are also launching our Community Group in association with the National Ambulance Service on Friday 14th of Feb at 7:30pm in Ruan Community Centre. The group, first established in Nov 2018, is run entirely by volunteers and has been set up to benefit our local area. This service aims to respond to and provide basic medical assistance to people in the local area, while an ambulance is on-route. Local support would be greatly appreciated.
