May Devotions:  The Rosary will be recited every evening for the moth of May at the Grotto of Our Lady, in Fountain, at 8.30p.m.

Suicide Bereavement Support:  A Memorial Mass for those who died by suicide and in support for their families will be held in St. Mary’s Church, Quin on Friday 4th May at 7.30p.m.  Afterwards a reception at Quin Community Centre will feature a presentation by the Clare Hunt of a cheque for a substantial amount to the Clare Suicide Bereavement Support Group.  This money was raised at a unique equestrian event in Quin on 25th March,  All are welcome in support and solidarity of those  bereaved and in prayerful memory of those that died. 

University of Limerick Orchestra presents Prom 20th Aniversary Concert: with guest orchestra, Clare Music Makers Orchestra at Ennis Cathedral on Sunday May 6th at 3.00p.m. All proceeds to Clare 250 Cancer Centre.  Tickets €10 from Parish Office, Veritas & Mary Kelly’s Newsagent.

Alzheimer’s Tea Day:  This year is the 30th Anniversary of the Alzheimer’s Society, and Thursday 3rd May, is Alzheimer’s National Tea Day.  As usual the Tea Day will be hosted in the parish, in Ruan Community Centre on Tuesday 1st May  from 10.00a.m. to 12.00 noon and in Toonagh Hall on Thursday, 3rd May from 9.30a.m. to 12.00 noon.  Monies raised in Clare will be spent in Clare, helping to support families of people with Alzheimers Disease, in Day Care Centre/Drop in Centre, Support Groups and regional home care services.  A raffle will also be held in both venues and your support will be very much welcomed.

Household Charges:  A  meeting will be held in McNamara’s pub in Scarrif on Tuesday 1/5/2012 at 8.00pm to discuss household charges.  All are welcome.  As part of May day  celebrations Clare Campaign against household, water and septic tank charges have organized a march in Ennis on Saturday 5/5/2012 at 12.00 noon.  Assembly point, O’Connell Monument, please come as your support is vital.
