The wedding took place in Our Lady of the Wayside Church, Lissycasey, recently, of Dermot, son of Anne and John Taaffe, Kells and Kate, daughter of Steven and Frances McGuane, Lissycasey.  The ceremony was officiated by Canon Patrick Taaffe, uncle of the bride with Fr. Joe Hourigan and  Fr. Pat O’Neill. Maid of Honour was Sinead Noonan, Bridesmaid was Mary Garvey. Best man was George Taaffe and John Taaffe was Groomsman.  
Flower girls were Muireann Ryan, Hannah McGuane, Meabhdh Ryan, Roisin McGuane and Anne Garvey and Pageboys were Christopher O’Grady, John and Shane Taaffe. The reception was held in The Bellbridge Hotel, Spanish Point.

The Clare Junior Camogie  team has secured their place in the All Ireland semi final after their win over Tyrone at the weekend. Our club members, Niamh Lyons, Rebecca Crowe, Louise and Claire McDonnell all having a hand in their success to date. The next game will be played at the weekend between Kerry and Wicklow and the semi final will be held on August 10th when Clare will meet either Kerry or Offaly, depending on points on the table at that stage.
Emily Whelan, Aoife Anderson, Sinead Hastings and Kate Forde represented the Ruan Club at the inter All Ireland competition in Dublin at the weekend.
