Recent Weddings.
 
On Friday last, the wedding took place, in Clooney Church, of Johnathan Finn, son of Bridie and John Finn, Ardcarney, Ruan and Sarah Considine, daughter of Eva and Joe Considine of Clooney.   Fr. Pat O'Neill was Celebrant and Bestman was Oisin Brooks, while Paddy Considine, brother of the bride, was Groomsman.  Bridesmaids were Shiofra Hassett and Rosaleen Finn, sister of the Groom.   Pageboys were Robbie and Ajay Finn.   
The couple were joined by family and friends for the ceremony and afterwards at The Lady Gregory Hotel in Gort.

The wedding also took place on the 28th July in St. Mary's Church, Castlefinn, Donegal of Kevin O'Leary, youngest son of Michael and Mary O'Leary of Knockanroe, Dysart and Siobhan Gallagher, daughter of Brian and Gretta Gallagher of Castlefinn.   Fr. Jim McGonagle was celebrant and Bestman was Denis O'Leary.   
Collette Quinlivan was Bridesmain, while the flowergirl was Laura Gallagher.   
On Sunday evening last, the couple, with their family and friends enjoyed a celebration of their wedding at The Falls Hotel, Ennistymon.

Camogie.
 
The u12 team had a comprehensive win over Ballyea at home last week.   Next Sunday will see them take on Eire Og in the final game of the u12 mini league.   The U16 Championship kicks off on Mon. 18th, when Ruan is at home to Whitegate at 6.30p.m.   A number of Ruan Minors are giving assistance in the u18B championship, and, so far they have had victories over Clooney/Quin, Doora/Barefield and Inagh/Kilnamona.   
On Sun. 12th August, at 12.00 noon, Ruan Juniors play Bodyke in what is expected to be a closely contested game.   The other teams in this group are Sixmilebridge and Eire Og.  
A number of Ruan players are still involved with the underage development squad and are gaining invaluable experience, whilst training and taking part in various county blitzes.

Summer Camp

Ruan G.A.A. Club will host a Cul Camp for boys and girls in Ruan pitch from Aug 20th to 24th.   
Children interested in playing camogie and hurling are invited to attend.
