Tour de Munster.
On this Friday, the Tour de Munster cycle will pass through Ennis, rising much needed funds for Down Syndrome Ireland. There are fourteen members in Clare Down Syndrome - Parents all working voluntarily, raising funds to provide services such as speech therapy, home tutoring, music lessons and life skills for children with Down Syndrome. The main aim of the group is to ensure that each child with Down Syndrome develops to his/her potential and makes their future as independent as possible.
Laura Cahir from Ballygriffey is Treasurer of Clare Down Syndrome and will be among those in Ennis tomorrow, Friday, collecting donations during the cycle. A group of local children will provide music at The Square to welcome the cyclists and provide entertainment to the crowds in town on the day, and it promises to be a lively event.
