Ruan Tidy Towns Fundraiser Sale of Work and Auction for Ruan Tidy Towns and Parish Graveyards - Saturday night 7th December, after 8:00 pm Mass in Ruan. Donations of timber/turf/farm supplies/cakes/sale-able bric-a-brac/books etc. will be welcome. Please support !!


Baptisms in the Imeall Boirne Parishes: 

Baptisms take place each Sunday of the Month at 12:30pm rotating between all 9 churches.


Next Baptism Programme Date Saturday 9th November in Corofin From 11 am to 12 noon.

Dates for December:- Ballinruan 1st,    - Dysart 8th,   - Rath 15th,    - Boston 22nd. 

Next Baptism Programme Date Saturday 14th December in Ruan From 11 am to 12 noon

People intending to have children baptised must complete the baptismal preparation course before each child is baptised.

First Holy Communion A meeting for the volunteer parents of the Children receiving the Blessed Sacrament of First Holy Communion 

will be held on Tue next December 3rd in Ruan Community Hall at 7:30pm


Confirmation Enrolment Ceremony The Confirmation Enrolment Ceremony for all the schools in the Imeall Boirne Parishes 

takes place in St. Mary’s Church Ruan on Friday December 13th at 7:30 pm.


The Ruan Gaa Club: extends sympathies to the following families who have recently lost love ones. 

The family of Nuala Keane Ruan. The family of Marcella Kelly Ruan. The family of Phil Cunningham Tubber. 

AGM will take place on Monday 2nd of December at 7pm in Ruan School Hall.

We would encourage everyone involved in the club to make a big effort to attend this year. Hope to see you there!


Blood Donation Clinic 3000 units of blood are required every week. 1000 people receive blood or a blood product every week. 1:4 of our population require blood at some point in their lives. 

The Irish Blood Transfusion Service will be holding a blood donor clinic in the West County Hotel: 

Mon 2nd Dec from 2-5pm, Tues 3rd, Wed 4th, Thurs 5th, Mon 9th from 5-8pm.


Senior Citizens: Thanks to all for their generous donations to the recent Church Gate Collection of €278.00.

The Senior Citizens Annual Christmas Party takes place in Morty Kelly’s on Sunday 1st December at 2:00 pm. All are welcome.
