Christmas Collection for our Priests in Imeall Boirne will be taken up at all Masses this Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. 

As one of only four collections in the year we are really grateful for your generosity and support.


Readers and Eucharistic Ministers: The 2020 rotas for Readers and Eucharistic ministers for both Ruan and Dysart are currently being prepared. 

Anyone interested in Reading or becoming a Eucharist Minister are very welcome and should contact Monica in the Parish Office 065 6827799 or email ruandysartparish@gmail.com.

Ruan Tidy Towns Fundraiser Sale of Work and Auction Thanks to everyone who supported the Christmas Fair last weekend and to all who contributed in making this event a great success. Special thanks to the organisers and to all involved in the Annual Christmas Fair.


Crucifix Found: A gold plated crucifix has been found on the Ballygriffey/ Curragh Road. Please contact Fr. Pat O’Neill 065 6827799. 


Baptisms in the Imeall Boirne Parishes: 

Baptisms take place each Sunday of the Month at 12:30pm rotating between all 9 churches.

Dates for December:  - Boston 22nd. 

Dates for January 2020:-  Crusheen 5th - Ruan 12th - Corofin 19th - Tubber 26th 

Next Baptism Programme Date Saturday 11th January in Crusheen From 11 am to 12 noon.

People intending to have children baptised must complete the baptismal preparation course before each child is baptised.

Ruan Camogie Club Wren Boys: We will be hunting the wren and will be calling to houses in the parish on St. Stephens day for our very important annual fundraiser. We will be calling between 12pm and 2pm. Your support is much appreciated. Anyone that would like to join us for this fun event and to take part in this old Irish tradition (Lá an Dreoilín) please meet at Ruan school or Toonagh school at 11.45 on St. Stephens day. 

Musicians, Singers, Dancers, Drivers, all welcome!!!


Annual Toonagh Walk:  This year's annual walk takes place on Sunday 12th January 2020. Monies raised will be divided between Motor Neuron Disease Association and Huntings Disease Assciation.
