All Baptisms take place each Sunday of the Month at 12:30pm rotating between all nine churches.

People intending to have children baptised must complete the baptismal preparation course before each child is baptised. All forms for the above are

Christmas Cards  Ruan Church Christmas Cards are now available at only 0.75 cent each.


Missionvale Church Gate Collections: Takes place in Ruan on Christmas Eve and in Dysart on Christmas Morning to raise funds for Sr. Ethel Normoyle. 

Your usual very generous support is appreciated.


Ruan/Dysart Graveyards and Tidy Town Christmas Fair: We would like to offer a sincere “Thank You” to all who supported the Christmas Fair last weekend.Over €2,000 was raised and this will go to providing equipment for grass cutting in the village and in the parish graveyards.


Irish Cancer Collection:  €199.53 was collected. Your generosity is much appreciated.


40th Celebrations: The Ruan Intermediate and under 21A Championship winners of 1978 are being honoured at a function to be held in Morty Kelly’s Bar, Ruan on St. Stephen’s night, from 9:00pm. All are welcome.

Hope Foundation: Muireann Ní Shé (Ballygriffey) will be travelling to India with the Hope Foundation in April 2019. As a result of your very generous donations €1,180.92 was lodged to the Hope Foundation Charity. A sincere Thank You to all who donated.

Buiochas  We extend a very warm welcome to all who have come home to the parishes of Imeall Boirne for Christmas, students, relatives and all who have returned from abroad. Christmas is one of the times of the year when we can acknowledge the goodness and generosity of our Parishioners. The Imeall Boirne team say a sincere word of thanks for your kindness and support throughout the year. We are blessed to have such an extraordinary number of people who are
actively involved in the life of our Parishes, who go above and beyond the call of duty. Our thanks to all who help in a special way with the Sunday Liturgy, Readers, Eucharistic Ministers and Altar Servers, Choirs and Musicians. To all involved in the decoration of our Churches, and the people who enhance our Churches with
floral displays during the year. To the various people who take responsibility for the church sacristy in Corofin, Kilnaboy, Rath, Ruan, Dysart, Crusheen, Ballinruan, Boston and Tubber. We acknowledge the work of the Parish Pastoral Council in each parish, Parish Representatives, Basket Collectors, Counters, the organisers of the Eucharistic Adoration in each parish. We are conscious also of the contribution our Teachers make in the handing on of our Faith. We thank all
who serve on the Boards of Management of our Primary Schools. A special thanks to our Imeall Boirne Office Secretary and Facebook Administrator, Anne.
To the administration, caretakers, cleaners and the many people who voluntarily help in making our Parishes such an alive and welcoming community.

Ruan/Dysart Advent Tree  There is a basket with cards available on the altar of both parish churches on which we invite you to write the name of someone we will keep in our thoughts and prayers at this time or your own special intentions and hang it on the Advent Trees. The names /intentions hanging on the trees will be presented as part of the Offertory Procession at the vigil Mass in Ruan at 8:00pm on Christmas Eve and in Dysart on Christmas Day at 9.30am.

Date for your Diary. Sunday January 13th, 2019 - the annual Toonagh Walk will take place around the quiet roads of Toonagh. Hot and cold refreshments and treats will be served in the hall afterwards, with a Monster raffle also being held. Registration will be at 11am and there are 3 routes suiting all levels of fitness. This year the funds do go to The Huntington’s Disease Association and Denise Whelan @0876731966 has all the details.
