Migrant Sunday – 13th January: Today the Church invites us to remember all migrants, both those who have left Ireland to find a new life elsewhere and those who have come to live here from other countries.  Migrants are people of hope.  Pope Benedict calls their travels Pilgrimages of Faith and Hope.

Kitchen Sessions: The Kitchen Session returned to Toonagh Hall on Fri. 11th Jan, and will continue on the Fri. nights.

Nollaig na mBan: Thanks to all who came to Toonagh Hall on Sat. night last for Mass and celebrations for Nollaig na mBan.   It was a great gathering of the community, who, after the mass enjoyed "high tea" and a sing-song.   Thanks also to those who helped in baking, making sandwiches, donating raffle prizes, helped with parking, and helping out in all sorts of ways, to make the night so special.

Irish Heart Foundation  Heartsaver AED Defibrillation Course on Saturday 19th January from 12 noon to 5.00 pm and also on Saturday 26th January from 12 noon to 5.00 pm.  This course covers CPR to adult, child and Infant and also Choking and Medical Emergencies of Adult, Child and Infant. Ruan Minor Hurling Club are holding their AGM on Monday 21 January at 8 pm in Ruan Community Centre. All parents of children playing hurling and anyone from parish interested in promoting hurling are invited to attend.  Susan Rice Pro Minor Club 

Congrats to Ruan music group who have reached the Munster Scor final after their recent victory in the semi-finals in Cappamore, we wish them the best of luck in the final.
