YOUTH 2000 SUMMER FESTIVAL, Cistercian College, Roscrea, Co. Tipperary from Thursday 15th – Sunday 18th August 2013.  For young people aged 16-35, an opportunity not to be missed to experience the Catholic faith and meet many new people.  This Festival has been nicknamed the “Holy Oxygen” with over 1000 young people from all corners of Ireland attending last year. THE KILLALOE DIOCESE AUTUMN PILGRIMAGE TO LOURDES will depart Shannon Airport on Friday 27th September returning on Wednesday 2nd October.  At €650, it is the cheapest Pilgrimage from Ireland.  This year the Irish Church is celebrating the Centenary of the First Irish Pilgrimage to Lourdes in 1913.  Book on line at www.joewalshtours.ie and you will be entered for a draw for one free place. CLARE HERITAGE FORUM invites parish and community groups and individuals to a practical workshop on the maintenance and conservation of Historic Graveyards and Stone Walls. DYSART O'DEA CASTLE: Looking to spend a Sunday afternoon just 5 mins drive from Ruan, why not visit Dysart O'Dea Castle, walk some or all of the 6km Archaeology Trail and enjoy the tea rooms. Open daily 10 am to 6 pm and remember the walking is free.

SAMARITANS: The Ennis and Clare Branch of the Samaritans are holding their Church Gate collection in Ruan & Dysart today Sunday 21st July 2013.  The Samaritans offer confidential support to those who are suicidal, despairing or passing through crises in their lives. The support is available on our telephone helpline at our Centre in Ennis. The Church Gate collections are our most important means of fund-raising and are vital to the continuation or our work.
