Ruan church - 100 years:  

We will be celebrating the Centenary of the opening of Ruan Church on Sunday, 24th July.  Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Kieran O'Reilly.  

All are welcome.  Please invite members of your families or friends that might be living away from our parish.

VISION SEMINAR 

West County Hotel, Ennis on Sunday 12th June from 10am-2pm.  Enrol 9:30am-10am. Cost:  Donation.  

People to make their own arrangements for lunch.  Tea/Coffee provided. 

PARISH COUNCIL MEETING:    

Monday, 20th June in Parochial House at 9:00pm.

 

YOUTH 2000 SUMMER FESTIVAL, CLONMACNOIS, CO OFFALY Thursday 4th - Sunday 7th August 2011.  For young people age 16-35.  An opportunity not to be missed to experience the Catholic faith and meet many new friends.  Donation only.  Free buses available from around the country.  For more information contact 085 8289231 / 01 6753690 or book online: www.youth2000.ie.

CLARE CLASSIC & VINTAGE SHOW:  

The Showgrounds, Ennis on Sunday 19th.  Adm: €5.  Proceeds go to Clare Crusaders.

50th INTERNATIONL CONGRESS:  

Preparing with a National Eucharistic Congress at Knock Shrine on 25th and 26th June.  People from every diocese will gather in Knock on 25th June and there will be a liturgical celebration in every diocese the following day, 26th June.  Knock celebration begins with Eucharist at 3:00pm, preceded by anointing of sick at 2:30pm.  

Buses will travel from Ennis (Glynns / PK Travel).

THANK YOU:  Irish Heart collection on Sunday 5/6/2011.  Total collected:  €405.64.

QUIZ NIGHT:  Sat, 2nd July at 9:00pm in Morty Kelly's.  This is in aid of Ruan Playgroup.  All welcome.

TIDY TOWNS:  The Tidy Towns Committee thank you for your support over the past year in keeping our village & its surroundings looking so well.  Judging of this year’s competition is taking place over the coming weeks and we would appreciate if an extra special effort could be made by everyone to keep the village looking neat,           litter-free and attractive while the competition is taking place.  We would encourage people to consider putting out hanging baskets, painting premises, picking up litter etc.

COFFEE MORNING:  Toonagh Hall on Thurs. 23rd June from 10am to 12noon, to raise funds for the Clare Crusaders Clinic in Barefield.   The Clinic offers free services to children with special needs - cerebral palsy, spina bifida, autism, language delay, Downs Syndrome - such as speech and language and occupational therapists, physio, reflexology.   The also run a special needs pre-school.   As the Centre receives no State assistance, it depends on the generosity of the community and the families of the children who use it, so the organisers of the Coffee morning will welcome your support.
