Claire on Clare's Got Talent.

Local girl, Claire McDonnell from Dysart has qualified for the semi final of Clare's got Talent which will be held on Sun. 18th March next in Glor. We are very fortunate that Claire is so willing to share her talent for singing - she sings in her local Church, she sings at parish gatherings and concerts and she has previously represented her local G.A.A. Club in Scor competitions.   As the audience has a vote at the semi finals, Claire hopes that her own community will get behind her and that as many as possible will get their tickets for Glor soon before the event is sold out.

Apostolic Works Society.

The members of Ruan/Dysart Apostolic Society are busily putting the finishing touches to their projects for their annual display, which will be held at the end of March.   Anyone who would like to donate a sacred vessel (ciborium, chalice, pyx, etc) to the Missions, in memory of a loved one, should contact Eileen Roughan, Eileen Hannon or Mary Marrinan for details.

Shave or Dye.

Anne O'Regan and her friends held a hugely successful "Shave, Dye or Donate" night in Purcell's, Ruan on Friday night last.  Twenty six brave souls had their head shaved and eighteen had theirs dyed, in a night filled with great humour, craic and music.   Between that night and their online charity page, €4,323 has already been raised for the Irish Cancer Society.
