St. Patrick's Day.
Vigil Mass for St. Patrick's Day will be celebrated in Dysart at 7pm this Thursday eve., and mass on the day itself will be celebrated in Ruan at 10am.

Tidy Towns.
Ruan Tidy Town & Graveyard Group is fundraising to buy new grass-cutting equipment and is appealing to people to bring bags of clean, used clothing, bed linen, shoes, bags, belts, curtains to Ruan Community Centre, which will be open every weekday, until Sat. 25th March next.

Recent Deaths.
The death has taken place of Peggy Roughan (nee Leahy), Kilcross, Fountain in Cahercalla Nursing Home, where she had resided for two years. Peggy spent her life farming the family farm, living in the home where she was born and reared. She was married to Paddy Roughan for 37 years until his death in 2001.
Peggy's love of fashion was acknowledged by all who knew her, she loved nothing more than taking a trip to the town to keep herself up with the style.
She was a valued member of the local branches of I.C.A. and Apostolic Works Society and was known for the wit and humour she brought to these organisations.
Peggy's remains reposed in Cahercalla Community Hospital and, following requiem mass, she was laid to rest in Drumcliffe Graveyard.
She is survived by her daughters Edel and Ruth, son in law, Brendan, grandchildren Padraig and Roisin, sister, Mary Lynch, Clarecastle, nephews and friends.
 
    The deaths have also taken place of Maureen Frawley (nee Hogan), New Road, Ennis and formerly of Ruan;  Evelyn Keane, Kilnamona, mother of Aine Cotter, Fountain; Patsy O'Callaghan, Feakle, sister of Pauline Cullinan, Toonagh and Patrick Sheedy, Newmarket on Fergus, brother of Tommy Sheedy.
