Baptisms in the Imeall Boirne Parishes: 

Baptisms take place each Sunday of the Month at 12:30pm rotating between all 9 churches.


Dates for March 2020 Crusheen 1st - Ruan 8th Rath 15th - Tubber 22nd 

Next Baptism Programme Date Saturday 14th March Corofin From 11 am to 12 noon.


People intending to have children baptised must complete the baptismal preparation course before each child is baptised.

Imeall Boirne - Blessed Sacraments First Confessions for the schools in Imeall Boirne takes place next week as follows: 

Tubber Church Monday 9th at 7:00pm (Boston/Tubber Schools).

Ruan Church Tuesday 10th 7:00pm (Ruan and Toonagh Schools) 

Rath Church Wednesday 11th 7:00pm (Corofin and Kilnaboy) 

Crusheen Church Thurs 12th 7:00pm 

A meeting for the volunteer parents of the Children receiving the Blessed Sacrament of First Holy Communion, will be held on Tuesday 10th March in Ruan Community Hall at 8:00pm. 

“Do This In Memory Masses ” The next of these Masses for the First Holy Communion children takes place next weekend as follows: 

Saturday March 14th Boston 6:30pm.  Saturday March 14th Ruan 8:00pm.   Sunday March 15th Crusheen 9:30am.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Guidance for Religious Services. Following HSE guidance the following precautionary measures are to be taken to minimise the risk of spread of infection.  

The Sign of Peace will be suspended and replaced with a nod/smile/greeting.  

We are also requesting that parishioners receive Holy Communion in their hand. The chalice will not be offered at this time.  

Frequent hand washing is advised. We thank you for your understanding and co-operation. Please read the posters in all Churches.

Friday 27th March: Be Reconciled with God and others in Crusheen @ 7pm. and  Adoration and Reflection @ 8pm.  

Reconciliation Service Sat 28th March: Our Lady spouse of the Spirit in Boston Mass @ 6:30pm, 

Adoration and Reflection in Ruan @7pm .   Mass in Ruan @8pm.

Sunday 29th March: Living in the Resurrection in Crusheen Mass @9:30am.   Adoration and Reflection in Corofin @10am.   Mass in Corofin @11am 


Easter Mass Cards Signed Easter Mass Cards are available in Imeall Boirne from next weekend. The cost of same are €3 each or 5 for €10. Please contact Anne for more details on 065 68 90865.


Lenten Practice. This Lent why not take 30 minutes on a Friday evening to come to St. Tola’s Church, Dysart to leave behind, the hustle and bustle of the busy lives we are leading. The Stations of the Cross and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy will be led from 7.30pm, commencing Friday, February 28th and each Friday evening until April 3rd. All are welcome. 


Tractor Run and Family Fun Day Takes place in Toonagh on Sunday, March 8th. A great day’s entertainment is planned, with tractors, new and vintage, trucks, vintage cars and motorbikes expected to take part. In the time between the vehicles leaving Toonagh Hall, and their return, games for the children will be organised, a bric a brac sale, book and cake sale will be held, and refreshments will be served. More details will be given nearer the time.
