Holy Week / Easter in Imeall Boirne  

Holy Thursday - Tubber 8:00pm,  Corofin 8:00pm, 

Good Friday - Crusheen 3:00pm,  Ruan 3:00pm, (Stations of the Cross may take place across the pastoral area at other times but not at 3:00pm)

Easter Vigil -  Rath 6:00pm,  Ruan 8:00pm,  Crusheen 9:00pm,  
Easter Sunday - Dawn Mass in Doon Cemetery 5:30am,  Boston 9:30am,  Dysart 9:30am,  Corofin 11:00am


Parish Eucharistic Ministers and Readers  A meeting for all will be held in Ruan Community Centre on Wednesday 3rd April at 8:00pm to discuss Lay Led Liturgies and other important matters going forward. 

It is important that all Eucharistic Ministers and Readers on the current rota for both Ruan and Dysart attend this meeting


Baptisms in the Imeall Boirne Parishes: 

All Baptisms take place each Sunday of the Month at 12:30pm rotating between all nine churches.

Next Baptism Dates in April - Ballinruan 7th - Dysart 14th,  Corofin 21st—Boston 28th.

People intending to have children baptised must complete the baptismal preparation course before each child is baptised. All forms for the above are

First Communion 2019: The next First Holy Communion volunteer parents meeting will be held on Tuesday 19th March at 7:30pm in Ruan Community Centre.  It is important that all volunteer Parents attend these meetings.


Confirmation Students - Knock Retreat On Tuesday and Wednesday last the 70 Confirmation Candidates in Imeall Boirne travelled to Knock for their Retreat Days. A very pleasant Retreat was had by all and we offer our sincere thanks to Fr. Pat and Fr. Damien and all who accompanied the Students on their outings

Ruan/Dysart Community Clean-Up: Takes place on Mon April 1st meeting at Ruan Community Hall at 7:00pm. Bring Hi Vis Vest (if available) Gloves and Enthusiasm. Refuse Bags Provided. All Welcome!

The Annual Tractor Run: The Annual Fundraiser for Ruan/Dysart Tidy Village and Graveyards Maintenance will be held on Easter Sunday, 
April 21st commencing at 12.00noon. Registration €20.00 at Morty Kelly’s at 11:00am. Children’s vehicles welcome also. Please Support!

Local History Group: The Local History Group which meets in Morty Kelly’s Bar on Tuesday at 8.30pm are researching the history of Ruan
Barracks. Anyone with stories/knowledge of the Barracks can call in any Tues evening or drop anything in to Morty. They plan to hold a commemoration of the Barracks in 2020.


Ruan Camogie U14 have progressed to the U14 Féile Camogie Semi-Final this Sunday 31st March in Kilmaley. Please Support.

Easter Camogie/Hurling Camps
Camps will take place on Tues/Wed/Thurs the 16th, 17th & 18th of April. They will run from 9.30am - 2.00pm. 
Three camps are being held in total at Parteen, St. Flannans College and Clooney. More information from 086-1503554 / 087 214 2830.
