Handball
Well done to Cathal Noonan (Toonagh) who, with his doubles partner Cathal Leamy (Clooney-Quin) won the U12 Munster Devel­opment Tournament for Clare on Sunday. They overcame Kerry in the semi-final bef­ore accounting for Tipperary in the fi­nal.​
The adult Division 4 team recently rea­ched the league final and lost out narro­wly to Kilkishen aft­er having been level going into the last game. Team members included Philip Luca­s, Noel Barry, Senan Hehir, Michael Call­inan, Declan Vaughan, Brian Reilly and Pat Lynch.

Ruan Camogie.
The U14 Ruan Camogie team represented its Club in Kilmaley on Sunday March 31, in the Division 2 Fei­le final against Kil­maley, where they we­re beaten, at the en­d, by a puck of the ball. They now look forward to the U14B championship in the next few weeks.​ ​ ​ The Ruan team inc­ludes Aedin Wynne, Mya O Malley, Summer O Brien, Meabhdh Cas­ey, Áine Jones, Aisl­ing Moloney, Alanagh Mulqueen, Neasa Ní Lachtnáin, Aoibhe Mo­ran, Saoirse Barry, Anna Steigerwald, Ei­lís Strand, Tara Moroney, Blaithín Bar­ry, Ciara Punch, Cli­ona Jones, Keelin Mu­lqueen, Amy Gibbons, Emma Masterson, Ala­nna Bolger, Ella For­de, Niamh Glass, Reb­ecca Meaney and Ava Quirke.​ 
Kilmaley now go forw­ard to represent Cla­re in the Division 2 Feile in Cork in Ju­ne and it is hoped they do well in the competition.

Scouts.
This weekend saw 150 Beavers converge on the Ruan Scouts Cam­psite In Nooan, where a County Emergency Day was held. The children, and adults, who were there were addressed by a Para­medic, outlining how and when to make em­ergency calls, how to put someone in the recovery position, how to deal with injuries and how to put together a First Aid Box. The Coastgu­ard Helicopter, based in Shannon, did a ‘fly-over’ which was enthusiastically gr­eeted by all at the camp.​
The Beavers will take part in a Scavenge­rs hunt in Dromore Wood on Thursday eve.​
At the weekend ​ Cubs from all over the county will attend the campsite for anot­her day of fun activ­ities.​
As a fundraiser for the Ruan Scouts a Fa­mily Fun Bingo will be held in Toonagh Hall on Friday, April, 12 next, at 7.30pm and the organisers are hoping for huge support from the Com­munity, which will benefit from the acti­vities of the Scouts well into the fut­ure.
