Recent Death.
The death has taken place in Birmingham,  following an illness, of P.J. Ballinger, formerly of Laurel Vale, Ruan. He would have celebrated his 72nd birthday on Saturday last. P.J. left Ireland, as many young people did, at 18 years of age, to look for work in England and settled in Birmingham. He worked in various jobs, mostly delivery driving, and he made many friends with whom he socialised during his years there. He returned home to celebrate various family occasions - Christmas time,  weddings, funerals and his family looked forward to, and loved those visits.
P.J.'s ashes were interred in the family grave in Dysart Graveyard, following a memorial mass celebrated by Fr. Pat O'Neill on Sunday last.
He is survived by his sisters Sheila, Mary, Nuala & Sarah, sister in law Noreen, brothers in law Willie, Jim and Pat, many nieces, nephews and friends.
