Wedding Bells.
    The wedding has taken place of Rosaleen Finn, daughter of John and Bridie Finn of Ardcarney, Ruan and Michael James Malone, son of Seamus and Kathleen Malone of Ballinacarra, Kilfenora at St. Mary's Church, Ruan on Friday last, with Fr. Pat O'Neill, celebrant. 
Bridesmaids were Alice Casey, Caroline McNulty, Deirdre Breathnach and Sinead Shannon, Maid of Honour was Corinne Mulcahy. Bestman was Gavin Crowe and Groomsmen were Killian Malone, Aidan Malone and John McGrath and Rosaleen's nephews, Robbie and Ajay Finn were pageboys. The reception was held in The Falls Hotel.

    Shane Sheedy, son of Tommy and Ann Sheedy of Bealnalicka, Ruan married Maria Tuffy, daughter of Tom and Vera Tuffy of Killasser, Swinford, Co. Mayo, also on Friday last in All Saints Church, Killasser. Maria's sisters Fiona Tuffy, Sandra Tighe and Kara McNulty were Bridesmaids while Bestman was James Cusack and Groomsmen were Gary Meehan and Eamonn Liddy. Darragh Tuffy was Pageboy and Flowergirl was Isabelle Quirke. 
Celebrant was Fr. John Durkan and the reception was held in the Diamond Coast Hotel, Iniscrone, Co. Sligo.

The under 14's opened their campaign with a hard fought win over Feakle/Kilanena last week and the next game will be at home to Ballyea this coming weekend.
The u8s took part in a blitz held in Ennistymon at the weekend. Ruan had 21 players and fielded three teams who played matches against Ennistymon, Ballyea and Crusheen.
Afterwards adults and players enjoyed refreshments laid on by the Ennistymon Club and the children enjoyed the outing.


Grand Prix coming to Toonagh.
Those interested in showjumping are very excited at the news that Showjumping Ireland will hold a Gran Prix in Banner Equestrian, Toonagh this year. This competition will feature leading names and top competitors in the sport.
Noel and Simone Barry, who run the Centre, are holding a Poker Classic in Woodstock Golf Club on this Friday night at 8.30p.m.
The proceeds of which will go towards the prize fund for the Gran Prix, and all are welcome.
