Christmas Party.

The  Senior Citizens of the parish were treated to their Christmas Party at Morty Kelly's in Ruan on Sunday last.   They enjoyed the turkey dinner with all the trimmings, and afterwards were entertained by Frank Custy and his friends, who provided music, songs and recitations.
Great credit is due to the Senior Citizens committee which organises the various outings, and this party, throughout the year.

Christmas Cards.

Anayone who would like to get Christmas Cards featuring a picture of Ruan Church, they will be available at both Churches in the parish this weekend.   Christmas Mass Bouquets are also in both Churches.

Toonagh School Concert.

The Children from Toonagh School will stage their annual Christmas Concert in Toonagh Hall on this Thurs. night, 8th Dec.   It will feature comedy sketches, music, song and dance and every child in the school will have some input in the show.   For many people, this night heralds the start of the Christmas Season, and it is looked forward to by young and old.
Due to the Concert being held on Thurs. the Kitchen Sessions on this Fri. night will not take place, but will be back next Fri. night, 16th.

Keep Clare Clean.

Well done to Caoimhe Roughan, who won Silver,  U12 and to Anna Browne, who won silver, U6, for their posters in the Keep Clare Clean Competition, which was adjudicated at Waterpark House on Fri. last.
And well done also to all the children of the parish who took part in the competition, indicating the wealth of talent these children display.
