Underage Hurling & Camogie.
Ruan Hurling & Ruan Camogie Clubs will hold a joint registration night in Toonagh Hall on Fri. 27th Jan. at 7.15pm for underage players (u6 to u18). All players need to register on this night in order to train or play with the Club. 
Medals will be presented, by a special guest, to girls u11, u12 and u14 and to the boys u13 who had successes during the year.
Adult membership for the Club will also be taken up on the same night. Refreshments will also be served.

School Enrolment.
Enrolment for Junior Infants, September 2017, has begun in Toonagh School. Anyone who wishes to enrol a child should contact the school office @ 0656820143 as soon as possible.

Used Reading Glasses.
Glasses are being sent to the Missions by the Apostolic Works Society. Baskets will be left in both churches in the parish and people are asked to donate their old reading glasses. More details may be had from Des Ryan @ 0863634146.

Deaths.
The deaths have occurred recently of  Pauline Scanlan-West of Clarecastle, sister of Tricia Mulqueen, Kilcurrish, Fountain; Padraig Winters, Loughrea, brother of Teresa Cullinan, Ruan; 
Noel Courtney, Shannon, brother of Paddy, Dessie and Jimmy Courtney, Ruan and Thomas Madden, Clarecastle, father of Christina Madden, Rathkeane, Ruan.
