Recent Death.
The death took place recently of Sr. Cecelia O'Neill, a member of the Sacred Heart Sisters, of Northbrook Road, Ranelagh and Belcamp College Dublin.  Sr. Cecelia (or Mary, as she was known here at home in Dysart) died in Our Lady's Hospice, following a long illness.  She joined the Sacred Heart Sisters fifty six years ago, and among other things, she worked as an Addiction Counsellor until ill health forced her to retire six years ago.
Her funeral Mass took place in Dublin, and the following day her remains were brought home to St. Tola's Church, Dysart for concelebrated requiem Mass.   Her colleagues from the Sacred Heart Sisters, Sacred Heart Fathers and the Oblate Fathers  participated in the ceremony, paying special tributes to a great friend, a dedicated worker and a respected colleague.
She was laid to rest in Dysart Graveyard.   Mary is survived by her brothers, Tom and Oliver, her sisters, Eileen, Cathy, Rosemary and Phil, her sisters in law, brothers in law, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.
