Wedding Bells.
 
The wedding took place recently of Kieran O'Brien, son of Pat and Mary O'Brien, Fountain, Ennis and Linda McInerney, daughter of Christina and Michael McInerney from Ennistymon.   The ceremony took place in The Star of the Sea Church, Quilty, with Fr. Pat Larkin, celebrant.   The couple were joined by family and friends at the reception in The Bellbridge Hotel, Spanish Point.   Bridesmaid was Maeve Considine and Martin Moroney was Bestman.  
 
Cycling for Cancer Centre.
 
The McCullough family, Breda, Brendan and Conrad, from Dysart, recently cycled the Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle.   They fundraised for Recovery Haven Cancer Centre, based in Tralee, and raised €1,500, with the support of their local community.
 
    
Camogie News.
 
Well done to the u-10 team which won three Blitz matches recently.   The u-8 team beat Crusheen and drew with Wolfe Tones on Sat, and on Mon. eve. the u-11s beat Ballyea and were beaten by Tulla.   Local girls, Claire McDonnell and Alice Casey are members of the Clare Minor panel which will contest the All Ireland semi final on this Thurs. eve. in Limerick.  Lauren O'Donoghue and Rebecca Crowe were members of the Clare u-16 team which played in Cork last week.
 
    
Tetrathlon Success.
 
Alice Mahoney from Moyhree, Ruan, was a member of the team which represented Ireland in a Tetrathlon in Dumfries, Scotland last week.   The Tetrathlon comprises running, swimming, shooting and horse-riding, and is held over two days.  The Irish team came 2nd, coming in behind another Irish girls team - there were four girls teams and four boys teams from Ireland taking part with teams from Scotland.   The Senior International Tetrathlon will be held in Ireland later on in the summer, and Alice will compete, representing Clare, in the competitions.
