Cash for Clobber.
The Parents Association of Toonagh School have been very active in raising funds for the school over the years. One of the fundraising drives they have done is the 'Cash for Clobber', where the community gathers used clothing, bed linen, etc. and they get paid by weight for what they collect.
They were delighted, recently, to find out that they were the recipients of a prize of €1,500 from the company, for collecting the biggest amount of 'clobber' over the past year for their size of school.
This money will go towards school supplies and it goes without saying that the help of the community plays a big part in all their efforts and is much appreciated.

Bus to Knock
A bus will travel to Knock on this Sat. 9th July, travelling via Toonagh and leaving Ruan Village at 9am. Names, with deposits, may be given to Eileen @ 0656828243 or Sheila @0656837717.

Off to Listowel.
Well done to all the local children who have qualified at the County Fleadh in Kilrush last week to represent Clare at the Munster Fleadh to be held in Listowel from the 15th to 17th July. Many were individual winners and a number were also members of duets, trios and music groups and bands.
They are all hoping they will go further at the Munster Fleadh to represent the county at this year's All Ireland Fleadh  to be held in Ennis in August.
