Clare Cup Win.
Ruan Senior hurlers completed a very good Clare Cup campaign with a win over Kilmaley.   This was a high scoring game, with Ruan coming out on top, on a score of 1-22 to 1-18.   This was an important fixture, as the win ensured that Ruan will play Clare Cup hurling again in 2014.   Meanwhile, Ruan Junior hurlers have qualified for the league semi-final,when they will play Ballyea this weekend.

Dysart O'Dea Archaeology Trail.
The Castle at Dysart O'Dea and the 6km Archaeology Train are proving to be very attractive to holidaymakers this year, particularly with the weather being so pleasant.   The walk is well signposted and on quiet country roads and the tea rooms in the Castle are open daily from 10a.m. to6p.m.
Sky Dive for Clare Crusaders.
Darren Kelly, from Beechgrove, Toonagh, has undertaken a number of fund-raising events for the Clare Crusaders Clinic in Barefield, and his most recent accomplishment was a skydive on the 7th July last.  It was a tandem jump from 10,000 feet above Galway Airport, and all proceeds he raised will go towards the Clinic.
