Toonagh Race Nite.

There was a good turnout for the Race Nite held in Woodstock Hotel recently, to raise funds for the works being carried out in the playing field at the rear of Toonagh School, and it was a very enjoyable night.  The organisers are very thankful to all who helped in any way during this fundraising campaign.

Currently, in Tesco, Toonagh School Astro Turf is one of three community funds which can be supported. On completion of purchases, blue tokens are given to customers to enter into the community fund of their choice and anything received for Toonagh School will be very much appreciated.

Success in Listowel.

There's growing excitement among people interested in traditional music, singing and dancing as Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann, in Ennis this year, approaches, and the following locals came through the Munster finals held in Listowel at the weekend:   Irish Harp, 1st Lily O'Connor.  Trios (12-15) 1st Lily O'Connor with Aisling McMahon and Cliona Donnellan, 2nd Shona O'Halloran with James Kelly and Roisin Clancy.

There are a number of local children also involved in the following Ceili bands and groups  - Inis Og  came 1st and Tulog came 2nd in (u12) Ceili Band.  Inis Og came 2nd in Ceili Band (15-18) and Inis Og came 2nd in Grupain Ceoil u12.  Neasa Ni Ainifein came 2nd in Scealaiocht, u12
