Under 8 Hurling.
Ruan hosted close to ninety, under 8, hurlers at a blitz in excellent weather conditions on Monday evening in Ruan hurling field.   Teams from Newmarket, Clarecastle, The Banner and local side, Ruan, took part.   It was a great evening of hurling among all four teams.
Well done to the mentors of all these teams for the hard work they are putting into coaching them, and to the parents of the children of the host club who provided refreshments for all adults and children present.

Community Games.
Eoin McNamara, represented the County and this parish at the Community Games Swimming competitions held in Athlone at the weekend.   He did very well to finish 5th in his competition.
