Camogie.
 
An u-10 Blitz is being hosted by the local Club on this Sat. 2nd June at 11.00am in Ruan pitch, with invited teams Sixmilebridge and Kilkishen.  The u-12 Blitz was held recently in Ruan with visiting teams Burren and Corofin.  U-13 team played its last game in the division last week in Cratloe with a victory over Cratloe.  The girls now go on to play off for a shield, having won two games and lost two games - date and venue to be decided.   County Panels - the Club is represented at u16s by Lauren O'Donoghue, u14s by Louise McDonnell and Roisin O'Loughlin, u15s by Emer Neilan and Denise Healy and u13s by Eimear O'rien. 
The Junior Camogie team is taking part in the North Munster League - the first game will be held in Ruan G.A.A. field this Fri. 1st June at 7.45p.m. against Eire Og - support will be welcomed.
Thanks to the community for its support of the Church Gate Collection which was taken up at the weekend.

Recent Weddings.
 
    Therese Cullinan, daughter of John and Teresa of Ballytigue, Ruan, married Brendan Loughnane, son of Matt and Teresa of Kilkeniron, Galway at St. Mary's Church, Ruan on Friday last.  Fr. Pat O'Neill was celebrant, assisted by Fr. Benny Flanagan.   Bridesmaids were Ann-Marie, Liz and Claire Cullinan, sisters of the bride.  Bestman was Chris Duane and Groomsmen were Gerard and Eamon Loughnane, brothers of the groom.   Brendan's colleagues from the Defence Forces formed a Guard of Honour with swords for the happy couple as they exited the Church following the Ceremony.   The reception was held at The Lady Gregory Hotel in Gort.

    Philip Hayes, son of Joseph and Ann of Kilkee East, Ruan,, married Eva Maria Weber, daughter of Helga and Hermann Weber of Spahl, Germany, at St. Mary's Church, Ruan, on Saturday last.   Celebrant was Fr. Pat O'Neill.  Bestman was Niall Hayes and Groomsman was Denis Hayes, brothers of the groom.  Bridesmaids were Annette Weber and Janette Sack, Junior Bridesmaid was Hannah Weber and flowergirls were Heather Daly, Claire Hayes, Iseult Jordan, Aoibhinn and Sadhbh Ryan.   Pageboys were Henry Weber, Jack Danagher and Lawerence Hayes.   The couple were joined by family and friends at the reception in The Falls Hotel, Ennistymon.
