County Basketball Champions:
The girls of Toonagh N.S., coached by Ms. Barry, became the County Basketball Champions for the second time in the competition’s history when they won the Marion Keane Memorial Cup. To claim the title, the girls defeated Corofin, Inagh, Lisdoonvarna, Mol an Óige, Gaelscoil Uí Choimún (Kilrush), Kilrush N.S. and in the final, Crusheen. This amazing achievement was brought about by many, many hours of practice by all the girls – during sos, during lunch, before school and at P.E. time. Their enthusiasm, their commitment, their ability and willingness to learn will stand them in good stead for the future.

Camogie Final:
The Ruan/Toonagh school camogie team have reached the Cumann na mBunscol final. The final will take place in Cusack Park on Tuesday, June 13th at 2p.m. Our opponents on the day will be Ballyea N.S. Ruan N.S. Fun Run.
300 participants walked, jogged and ran in the recent Fun Run organised as a fundraiser for Ruan N.S. The inclement weather on the evening didn't deter the enthusiasm of those who took part in a spirit of community, fun and togetherness. Great credit is due to all who turned out, made a financial contribution and volunteered in stewarding, making it a very successful event.
