The u14 camogie team won the County u14C Shield Final in Newmarket on Fergus, overcoming Ballyea in the final. The u11's took part in the Tulla Tournament 2016, Division 2, recently in Clooney, playing Truagh/Clonlara in the semi final and emerging as winners against Scariff/Ogonnelloe in the final.
The u12 girls were just beaten on Sunday evening in Ruan, by Crusheen who scored a late goal.

Community Games
The parish was well represented at the Community Games Athletic Track & Field events in Lee's Road at the weekend. Neasa Ni Ainifein had the honour of reading the Community Games Pledge 'as gaeilge' at the event. She also won Gold in the 600m goes on to represent the County in August at the finals to be held in Athlone.
Aisling Moloney and Summer O'Brien reached the final of the ballthrow.  The u12 girls' relay team made the final, and James Cullinan reached the semi final of the sprint.
The work of the parents who organised the track & field event in Ruan GAA field recently  and those who contributed to the church gate collection, held in the parish this past weekend,  raising €260, is very much appreciated by the Committee.

Ruan Gymkhana.
The 13th annual Ruan Gymkhana was held on Sunday last and proved to be the most well attended to date. There were large numbers of entries for all the classes and the day ended with refreshments and a disco in Purcell's Bar in the village later on in the evening.
A presentation of €800 was made to Ruan Senior Citizen's organisation, which is organising the annual holiday in Lahinch from 27th July to 1st August.
Names may still be given to Mary O'Donnell or Sheila Lynch as there are still places available.
