Fun Day Deferred.

The Family Fun Day, organised by the local G.A.A. Club,  which was to be held on Sun. 8th May, unfortunately had to be deferred due to the inclement weather.   It has been rescheduled to Sun. May 22nd, and hopefully the weather will have cleared up by then.

Crowning of Our Lady.

A lovely tradition has been established at Our Lady's Grotto in Fountain where, for the month of May, the rosary is recited every evening.   This coming Friday evening the local community will join Fr,. Pat O'Neill, to recite the rosary, sing hymns and place a crown of flowers on the statue of Our Lady.   All are welcome.

Hurling.

The u14 boys have qualified for the u14D final which will be played on Fri. 20th May next (to be confirmed).   They play Bodyke in the final.

Schools' League.

Ruan/Toonagh beat Newmarket-on-Fergus last week in the Schools' League and the next game is against Corofin next week.
The boys were beaten by Ballyea on Thursday last.

Senior Citizens' Holiday.

This year the Senior Citizens from the parish will holiday in Lahinch from 23rd to 28th June.   Anyone interested in going should give their names to Sheila Lynch or Mary O'Donnell.
