Darkness into Light Walk.
Many adult members of the local Camogie Team walked ‘from darkness into light’ on Saturday morning last. They walked in their own localities and shared their pictures on Facebook. They made donations online to Pieta, the organisation which helps people, families and communities affected by suicide and self-harm. Pieta’s three Services are in prevention, intervention and bereavement counselling.
People have been extraordinarily generous this year, given that the official walk could not take place, and this will help in no small way to bring in valuable funding for the organisation.

Help from Hurling Club.
Due to the fact that children cannot go to the hurling field, or meet their hurling friends in school for a puck around, they’ve been practising at home and, perhaps, didn’t have sliotars, so when Frankie Lyons, Chairman of Ruan Hurling Club, was asked, he delivered sliotars to a number of families.
Frankie’s mob. no is 0879011945, and, should anyone need a sliotar, he will be delighted to deliver it, thus keeping the children happy and honing their hurling skills while the restrictions are in place.
