Alzheimer's Tea Day.
Mary O'Donnell and Martha Casey hosted the Alzheimer's Tea Day in Ruan Community Centre recently.
The ladies are grateful to all who supported the fundraiser which brought in €318, and this has been forwarded to the Clare branch of the Alzheimer Association, as all monies raised in Clare stay in the county to help alleviate the plight of families affected by Alzheimer's.

Minor Hurling.
Ruan under 14's had a good win over Clooney Quin in this Championship recently. They played Wolfe Tones in the quarter final at the weekend when they were, unfortunately, beaten by one point.  Ruan was missing two key players, due to illness, but despite that it was a very well contested game, played in Shannon.
Ruan boys now focus on their participation in Feile na nGael which will be held in Down in June.
The under 10's and under 8's took part in a blitz in Tubber where they played Tubber, Ennistymon and Sixmilebridge. The under 10's played Ennistymon and Eire Og recently in Ennistymon.
Both age groups attend training in Ruan pitch two evenings each week and it's heartening to see large numbers coming.

Recent Death.
The death has occurred, recently, of Tim O'Connell of Crusheen, father of Anne Shannon, Bealacana, Ruan.

and in Ruan on Sun. 24th May at 10.00am for the children of Ruan N. S.
