Confirmation.

On Sunday last Fr. Pat O'Neill administered the Sacrament of Confirmation in both churches in the parish.  The children from Toonagh School received it in St. Tola's Church, Dysart.  They were Leah Morgan, Ivana O'Halloran, Ailbhe Bane, Scott O'Donovan, Sean Danagher, Caimin Whelan, Robbie Keane, Adam Mulqueen, Neil Anderson and Jordan Howard.  They were joined by their families and friends afterwards for breakfast in Toonagh Hall, provided by the Parents Association.
At St. Mary's Church, Ruan, it was the turn of Padraig Casey, Anthony Quinn, Leanne O'Loughlin, Rachel O'Loughlin and Siofra Ni Lachtnain, pupils in Ruan School.  The Parents Association later provided refreshments in the school.
The ceremonies in both churches were very special, with the children participating in readings, bringing up the Gifts at the Offertory, singing and music, and the work they put into the preparation is a credit to their teachers and parents, and the children themselves.
