Model Camogie Players.
Lorna Crowe, Lauren O'Donoghue, Denise Healy and Eimear Neilan, members of Ruan Camogie Club, were among the camogie players who modelled clothes at the Fashion Show in Dromoland Castle on Fri. night last.  There was a great attendance at the very enjoyable event.
 
Recent Deaths.
The deaths have taken place of Eddie O'Connor, Cork, husband of Bridget Cullinan of Ballytigue, burial has taken place in Ruan Graveyard.  The death has also taken place of Sean Moloney, O'Callaghan's Mills, father of Mike, Rathkeane and John, Soheen.
 
 
Senior Citizens.
It's that time of year again, when the Senior Citizens Group is organising the annual Christmas get-together in Morty Kelly's on Sun. 8th Dec. All Senior Citizens in the parish are invited to the Party, where they will receive a meal, followed by entertainment by local artists.
 
Successful Fundraiser.
Toonagh School Parents Association recently held a Clothes collection to raise funds for school activities.  Thanks to the support of the local community €700 was raised and the organisers appreciate all the help they got from all involved.
 
Talk on Suicide.
Talks on Mental Health and Wellness continue in the Falls Hotel, Ennistymon, at 8 p.m. on Wed. 22nd November, with Dan Neville, T.D. of the Suicidology Association and Owen O'Mahony, Clare Suicide Bereavement.  Admission is free.
 
Craft Group.
Anyone interested in knitting, crochet, sewing or embroidery is invited to Toonagh Hall on Wed. mornings, starting next Wed. 20th Nov.,  from 11a.m. to12 noon, where people will share their tips and help anyone who would like to learn more about the various crafts - all in a friendly atmosphere over a "morning cuppa".
