Wedding.

The wedding took place on Saturday last of Aidan Courtney, son of Jimmy and Dolores from Ardcarney, Ruan, and Valerie Wallace,
daughter of Ian and Sheila Wallace from Scotland, at St. Mary's Church, Ruan.
Bridesmaids were Valerie's sisters, Gillian and Lynsey.
Bestman was Owen Courtney, Aidan's brother, and groomsman was Mortimer O'Sullivan.
Fr. Pat O'Neill was celebrant and afterwards the reception was in the Bunratty Castle Hotel.

Successful Fundraiser.

The organisers of the Pub Quiz held recently at Morty Kelly's Bar raised much needed funds for Ruan Community Childcare.
They wish to thank all who took part and helped out in any way, making it a fun-filled and enjoyable event, and raising over
€700 for the pre-school and after-school services.

Showjumping Success.

The Munster Amateur Indoor Show was held at the Showgrounds in Ennis over the weekend.
Local rider, Philip McGuane came joint 1st with Gabriel Slattery and Paul O'Neill (our own Fr. Pat's nephew) in the Puissance.
They set a new record in the process of 1metre 80.

Cahercalla Hospice Coffee Morning.

There was a great turn out for the Coffee morning held to raise funds for Cahercalla Hospice.
A total of €899.15 was raised, thanks to the generosity of all who came to Toonagh Hall and Ruan Community Centre for a "cuppa" on  the day.
