Underage Evening.
Last week two special guests visited the local G.A.A. Club at a training session for underage boys and girls. Local photographer, Eoin Courtney, took team pictures with Colm Galvin and Chloe Morey, and they also mingled with the children, giving them tips and encouraging them.
Credit to the organisers of the event and to all who attended.
In underage hurling, Ruan defeated Ennistymon in their final group match and are now into the County Final where they meet Broadford in the final this weekend.

"Adare to Survive"

A group of eighty supporters of Scoil Mhuire, Ruan, calling themselves "Ruan Misfits" has been fundraising in an effort to resurface and upgrade the school yard. On Sunday last sixty three of them participated in "Adare to Survive" challenge, a 7.5km military style obstacle course, which they all came through, bruised but exhilarated at having faced up to the challenge.
Their supporters welcomed them back to Ruan Sunday evening where celebrations were held in Purcell's Bar, ending up with dancing to music provided by David Howard. Those with sponsorship cards are asked to return them to Loreto O'Connor and the support of the community is much appreciated.
