Tractor Run for Toonagh Sports Complex.
All roads lead to Toonagh on this coming Sunday, 15th Oct. when a tractor and vintage vehicle run will travel the highways and byways of the parish to raise funds to continue the next phase of works in the sports complex in Toonagh Hall, which is the flooring of the Handball alley.  Registration is at 12 noon, leaving the hall at 1.00pm. Music and entertainment and food will be served in the hall after the run and there will be lots of fun for the whole family. It will also provide an opportunity for people to view the fantastic new facilities in the sports complex, which will be opened on the day.
The support of the community will be very much appreciated.

Bus to Knitting & Stitching Show.
Due to the numbers wishing to travel to the Knitting & Stitching Show in the R.D.S. on Thurs. 9th Nov. the organisers have now booked a bigger bus, so there are seats available. Anyone wishing to travel on the day should contact Miriam @ 0879503962 or Pamela @ 0876224698 before 17th October.

Tidy Towns.
Ruan got a very positive report from the Tidy Towns judges and scored an additional six points over last year.  The landscaping, flowerbeds, stone walls and graveyard in the village were highly praised, as were all the well presented residences.
It is a great credit to all who work at keeping their areas neat and tidy and to the Senan Coughlan and the workers in the Ruan Resource Group.

Mission for Imeall Boirne.
An Imeall Boirne Cluster Mission will take place from Sunday 22nd to Thursday 26th October next.  It will be based in Ruan, with Mission ceremonies at 8pm every night in Ruan Church. There will be morning masses in  Crusheen and Corofin at 7am and  Boston and Tubber at 10am.  The Missionaries, who are the American Friars and one Brother, based in Limerick, will also visit all the schools in the Cluster and the housebound, and anyone else who would like them to visit.
There will also be a special youth night in Ruan Community Centre on one of the nights while the ceremony is on in Ruan Church.
It is hoped that this Mission will help to renew and refresh the community in its faith and be a time of reflection and 'time out' for people in their busy lives.
