Underage Hurling.

Michael Barrow and Jack Lyons, two young Hurling players from Ruan G.A.A. Club, play with the u15 Clare Development squad. 

They played in Caherlohan the last weekend in August, gaining great experience from their participation in the annual tournament.

They both played with  Ruan, on the team which beat Wolfe Tones at the weekend in the semi final of the under 16B competition. 

They now play Clooney Quin in the final which takes place in Sixmilebridge next Sunday.

Lay Led Liturgy Training.

A large group gathered in Ruan Community Centre on Monday night  for the first night's training for lay led liturgy in the Imeall Boirne parishes. People involved in all aspects of liturgy, Readers, Eucharistic Ministers, choirs, those interested in liturgical music and those who are interested in the future of the Church attended.   Fr. Ger Nash and Maureen Kelly lead the training,  and the next session will be on Thursday 14th Sept., at 8.00pm, again, in Ruan Community Centre, and for the following four Thursday nights, and anyone interested in lay led liturgy is in
