Clothes Collection.
Now that the children are back in school, the Parents Associations are back in action fundraising for various needs of the schools.
Toonagh Parents Association is holding a clothes collection on Thurs. 17th Sept.
Collection bags are available at the school, or black bags may be used. They can be dropped off at Toonagh Hall on the day fro 9-10.30am, 1.45-3.00pm, 6.30-7.30pm. By now people know all kinds of clothing, belts, bags, shoes, curtains, sheets, duvet covers, etc. may be included, but no duvets, pillows or cushions. The monies raised will go towards getting I.T. supplies for the school.

Hospice Coffee Morning.
This community will be one of many, all over the country, who will host coffee mornings in aid of their local Hospice on next Thurs. 17th Sept.
Mary Hanrahan will host one in her home in Drumcavan from 10am-1pm and Mary O'Donnell & Martha Casey will be the hostesses in Ruan Community Centre fro 9.30am-1pm.
There will be fresh home baking on offer and the support of the community will be very welcome.

Ruan Minor Hurling.
Ruan recently hosted an u8 blitz in the hurling field. Visiting Clubs were Inagh, Kilnamona and  Tulla. Ruan did very well, fielding three teams. There was great support from the parents and mentors who organised the day which ended with refreshments being enjoyed by all who took part.
The Minor Club is holding a Flag Day in Ennis on this Sat.12th Sept., and anyone who might have an hour or so to spare is asked to contact any member of the Club, who will be delighted with the offer to help out on the day.

Recent Deaths.
The deaths have occurred of Michael Murphy of Coolmeen, Cranny, father of Moira Roughan, Fountain and John Slattery of Newmarket on Fergus, father of Mary McMahon, Ballytigue, Ruan.

Confirmation Talk.
A talk for parents of all children to be confirmed in the Imeall Boirne parishes in 2016  will be held in Ruan Community Centre on Tue. 15th Sept. at 8.00pm.
