Wedding Bells.
The wedding has taken place of Shane Mulqueen, son of Mary and Brian of Adroon, Ruan and Sandra Henry, daughter of John and Gretta Henry, Sagura, Curry, Co. Sligo at Curry Church.  Fr. Leo Henry was chief celebrant, assisted by Fr. Pat O'Neill and Fr. Sean Noone.  Bestman was Rory Mulqueen and Groomsmen were Enda Garvey and John Henry.  Bridesmaids were Connie Seery, Teresa Henry and Marie Henry.  Many of the guests travelled from London and Australia to join in the celebrations. The reception was held in Mulranny Park Hotel and, following a honeymoon spent in Sorrento, Italy, the couple will return to Perth, Australia, where they both work.

New Principal.
Following the retirement, in June, of Joe Carmody, Principal of Toonagh N.S. a new Principal has been appointed. Donnchadh Kelleher takes over the reins, having taught for seven years in Dublin - St. Brigid's Boys N.S. in Killester and Scoil Assaim Boys N.S. in Raheny.  
He is currently completing a Masters in Education and is looking forward to working with the teachers and pupils in Toonagh School.

Toonagh Hall.
A meeting will be held in Toonagh Hall on this Thurs. night, 11th Sept., at 8.30p.m. to bring people up to date on the work that has been completed to date on the buildings and what has to be completed before the hall reopens for winter activities.   
Any individuals and groups who wish to use the hall and/or sports facilities in the future are asked to attend.

Irish Dancing Classes.
Irish dancing classes with Scoil Ni Nuallain (Nolan School of Dancing) are held every Friday from 3.30p.m. to 4.30p.m. in Ruan Community Centre.   
Children are welcome to join throughout the year and further details may be had from Michelle Enright T.C.R.G. @ 0872548993.

Kilcurrish Bridge.
Kilcurrish Bridge has been closed since July, when Clare County Council uncovered significant structural problems.  Works have commenced this week to repair the bridge and it is estimated that they will take up to six weeks to complete before it will be reopened.
