November is a time for remembering and praying for our loved ones who have gone before us and whose loss we feel. It is a time when we are particularly conscious of those in our parishes who are grieving and all those families who have lost loved ones in the past year. Due to the current Level-5 restrictions, as we will not be physically blessing our graves this year we are using Remembrance Candles for our departed loved ones in Imeall Bóirne.
If you have a candle at home, any type of candle, these will be blessed by Fr. Pat and Fr. Damien at the following Masses: Saturday evening at 8:00pm Sunday morning at 11:00am. Monday morning at 9:30am Monday evening at 7:00pm.
You can leave the blessed candle in a prominent place in your home, maybe beside a memorial card or a picture of your loved ones, or on a prayer table.
Fr. Pat and Fr. Damien will offer masses during the month of November for all who are on the list of the dead in our parishes. We invite you to submit the names of those you would like to have remembered during these masses.
Extra envelopes are available in our churches and can be returned during the week to the Imeall Boirne Office on Thurs from 10am to 4pm or anytime to Fr. Pat and Fr. Damien. Masses will begin on November 2nd - All Souls’ Day
