Next Baptism Course: Corofin on Saturday 21st November from 11:00 am to 12 Noon. 

All people intending to have children baptised must complete the baptismal course before each child is baptised.

 Pastoral Parish Council Meeting in Ruan Community Centre on Wednesday 11th Nov at 8 pm

 

Confirmation Enrolment Night: An enrolment night for all the children from the Imeall Bóirne parishes will be held in Ruan Church on Friday 13th November at 8:00 pm. The children to be confirmed and their parents are expected to attend

Retreat Day: There will be a one day Youth Retreat, conducted by Net Ministries, in St Flannan’s College, Ennis, on Saturday 14th November

Tea/Coffee Morning: Cup of Tea or Coffee and a chat every Tuesday morning at 10:00 am in Ruan Community Centre.             All are welcome.

 

Community Centre Ruan – Kitchen & Meeting Room:

Work on the Kitchen and Meeting Room is almost complete and they are now open to all, but they must be pre-booked with one on the following:  Mary O’Halloran 087-2057019, Fr Pat O’Neill 086-2612124 or Senan Coughlan 086-4475400.    Only the red chairs from the Meeting Room are to be used in the Meeting Room - Rooms must be left as found.

Eucharistic Adoration – Ruan and Dysart

Since 2012 Eucharistic Adoration has been taking place in Ruan Church each Wednesday and it now hoped to have Eucharistic Adoration in Dysart as well.  A meeting will be held in the Parochial House on Thursday 12th November at 7:30 pm when a Eucharistic Adoration Team will be on hand to offer advice and assistance with setting this up in Dysart.  The Team look forward to meeting the people from Ruan who are already carrying on the Adoration as well as any new people from both Dysart and Ruan who are interested in Eucharistic Adoration. 


Important Meeting:  Dysart Muintir is to receive a grant of €40,000 for the refurbishment of the Sports Complex in Toonagh from the National Sports Council subject to certain conditions. All interested in sports activities in the area are welcome to a meeting in Toonagh on Sunday evening at 7:30. A meeting of those interested in the revival of the Handball Club will also take place.

Thank you everyone who wished me
well and sponsored my charity, the Clare Crusaders, in the lead up to the Dublin City marathon. Thanks to your help we raised over €1,200 for a very worthy cause. For those interested my time was 3hrs 29minutes. That is one minute quicker than it takes the M7 bus to travel from Ennis to Dublin. Regards Shane O'Loughlin.

Date for your Diary:  Ruan Playschool will host a fundraising Bingo Nite in Purcell's, Ruan on Fri. 4th December at 7.30pm., and look forward to the support of the community on the night


New gentle morning yoga classes for the elderly
to start soon in Ruan Community Hall. For anyone interested there will be a meeting this Tuesday 10th November @ 10am in Ruan Community Hall. Refreshments afterwards. All welcome!

Set and Brush dancing classes for kids and young adults “Learn the Clare Batter” starting in the Corofin Community Hall. Registration evening: Mon 9th November Time: 4.30-5.30. Classes will commence the following Monday 16th November Beginner, intermediate and advanced dancers are welcome. Corofin Dramatic Society present the premier of The Case of the Missing Tiara, written and directed by Gerard Kennedy, in Corofin Hall on Mon and Tues next 9th and 10th Nov and Thursday 11th Nov.

Ruan Camogie Club AGM on Monday 9th November 2015 at 7:30 pm in Ruan Community Centre. Nominations for Club Officers for the new year ahead would be welcome to Anne O’Regan or Mary Hickey.

Ruan GAA: 

Ruan Minor Club AGM:  This very important meeting will take place in Ruan Community Centre on Thursday 12th November at 8.00 pm. We would encourage all parents or anyone interested in developing hurling in our parish to attend.

NOTICE of RUAN GAA AGM 2015 The Annual General Meeting of Ruan GAA club will take place at 7.45 pm on Wed Nov 25th in Ruan Community Centre. Club members are invited to submit nominations for club officers and executive committee members to Runai - Kevin O’Regan in advance of this meeting.
