Parish Graveyard:  There will be a meeting in the Community Centre in Ruan on Wednesday 13th November at 8:00 pm to discuss the acquisition of a new Parish Graveyard.  This meeting is of importance to everyone as the onus is on the Community to provide a graveyard.

Senior Citizens: The Annual Christmas Party will be held in Morty Kellys on Sunday 8th December

CELTIC SPIRITUALITY FOR NOVEMBER AND FOR THE HARVEST

Padraigin Clancy, a native of Dublin, Ireland, has a postgraduate degree from the Department of Irish Folklore (UCD), and has lectured extensively and facilitated retreats and seminars throughout the world. She will be in Crusheen Church on Friday night, November 15th and Saturday November 16th as part of an Imeall Boirne project marking the Year of Faith. On Friday night, November 16th at 8.00 pm in Crusheen Church she will present, In the Footsteps of our ancestors; wisdom and prayer from the Gaelic Tradition.  This presentation will explore the central themes of Celtic Spirituality and see how they may be relevant for us today. On Saturday night, November 17th at 8.00 pm in Crusheen Church with Deirdre Ní Chinnéide, she will present a Samhain Celebration:  ‘Gathering for God’ in this year of Gathering we gather for God remembering our ancestors and celebrating the harvest… Both of these events are presented by the Imeall Boirne Cluster of Parishes.

TRÓCAIRE are proposing to hold a National Emergency Collection on behalf of the Syrian Refugees on Sunday, November 17th. In Syria over 100,000 people have lost their lives after two years of war and over 8.4m people – approximately half of whom are children - are in need of humanitarian assistance. This crisis is unfolding in an area of great historical and religious significance for Christians worldwide. Trócaire is working in partnership with local church agencies in Syria and along neighbouring borders to support survivors. Since 2011, vital emergency aid has reached over 273,000 people. Your support will help to get food, water, clothing, shelter, medical & psycho-social supports to those most in need.

Irish Dancing Classes Michelle Enright has started a new term of Irish Dancing classes for children in Toonagh Hall on Friday afternoons 3.30 pm to 4.30 pm. Beginners welcome. 

Dancing for Adults continues in Toonagh Hall Thurs. nights 8.30 pm to 10.30 pm.  All welcome.

Kitchen Sessions in Toonagh Hall, Fri. nights, 7 to 9 pm. All musicians, singers, dancers welcome.

North Clare Mental Health Association is hosting a series of talks on Mental Health and Wellness during the month of Nov: Francis Black (Singer) and founder of R.I.S.E. Foundation with Gerry Murphy of Bushy Pk Treatment Centre on 13th November.  Dan Neville T.D. of Suicidology Association with Owen O’Mahony, Clare Suicide Bereavement on 22nd November.  Patrick Ryan, Professor of Psychology UCL and Liam Minogue of the W.R.A.P. Programme on 26th November.  The talks will take place at the Falls Hotel Ennistymon at 8:00 pm each night and Admission is Free
