NET Ministries: This week the NET Team will hold their first official Senior Amplified Youth night in the Ruan Community Centre on Wed, 23rd Nov from 7:30-9:00pm. This is for all youth in TY to 6th year, and the following Wednesday will be for the Junior Amplified Youth Group (1st year to 3rd year).
Graveyards: Please note that the Parish or the Parish Council have no responsibility to provide a graveyard. This responsibility rests with the entire Community. In the past graveyards were provided by the County Council, but they are no longer doing so in rural areas. Talk for Parents of First Holy Communion Children from the Imeall Bóirne Parishes will be held in Ruan Community Centre on Tuesday 22nd November at 8:00 pm Enrolment Mass for Confirmation Children in the Imeall Bóirne Parishes will be held on Friday 25th November in Ruan Community Centre at 7:00 pm Cluster Meeting of the Imeall Bóirne Parishes on Thurs 24th November in Corofin at 8 pm
Holy Year of Mercy: A liturgy to mark the end of the Holy Year of Mercy will take place in the Cathedral, Ennis on Sunday, 20 November at 3.30pm. Bishop Fintan Monahan will preside and the reflection will be given by Fr Liam Lawton. All welcome. Irish Cancer Society: Church Gate Collection takes place on Sunday November 27th in both Ruan and Dysart. Your support would be greatly appreciated. Senior Citizens Christmas Party: The annual senior citizens Christmas party will be held this year on Sunday 4th Dec at 2 p.m. in Morty’s. All are welcome for an afternoon of good food, plenty of music and good company. Tidy Towns Christmas Fair: The annual Tidy Towns and Graveyard Christmas Fair fundraiser will be held after 10 o’clock Mass in Ruan on Sunday 4th Dec. We would welcome any donations of cakes, timber, turf, clothing, hay, silage, fresh farm produce as well as items for the auction and the raffle (no toys or brick-a-brac). All monies raised will go towards the replacement, repair and maintenance of equipment. We look forward to your support.
Ruan Gaa: Minor Club AGM: This was cancelled last week and will now take place in Ruan Community Centre on this Thursday 24th November at 8.00 pm. We would encourage anyone interested in developing hurling in our parish to attend this very important meeting. Also due to the large numbers of children that are training more adult help is urgently required at these training session. If you are interested in helping out with training sessions for the 2017 season please let Claire McDonagh 087 0547646 know. All are welcome to attend.
