Justice and Peace: There is now a Facebook page dedicated to the Justice and Peace and Care of Creation Strand of the Pastoral Plan. It will be updated regularly. Currently available on the page is the encyclical Laudato Si and also some key principals of Catholic Social Teaching. Developing Liturgical Music Ministry: A pilot programme has been organised by the Diocese of Killaloe which will help interested people to learn about Liturgy, expand music repertoire, grow in confidence and develop leadership skills. Further details and an explanatory brochure are on the Church Notice Board or are available from Fr Pat.

Eucharistic Adoration: The National Adoration Committee and the Diocese of Killaloe have organised a meeting in Bunratty Castle Hotel, Bunratty Co. Clare on Saturday 10th October from 9:30 to 3:00. Anyone interested is invited to attend; please give your name and phone number to Fr Pat as soon as possible.


Day for Life Sunday 4th October: 'Day for Life' is the day in the Church’s year dedicated to celebrating and upholding the dignity of human life. The Church teaches that life should be protected and nurtured from conception to natural death.

Trócaire is responding to the growing needs of extremely vulnerable refugees in partnership with Caritas Serbia and has allocated €50,000 so far to provide sleeping bags and raincoats, hygiene kits, health services and psychosocial support. Trócaire also works with partners in Syria, Iraq, South Sudan and Somalia, which are burdened by protracted conflicts and in Jordan and Lebanon, countries which are hosting 1.75 million Syrian refugees. Trócaire have an online petition seeking justice for the refugee crisis at the moment. The petition is available here: http://www.trocaire.org/refugeecrisis

Flu Season: The Flu and Pneumonia vaccines are now available at the Corofin Medical Centre. Walk in clinic Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 2-3 p m, and at any other time by appointment. House visits, if required can be arranged on request.

Homework assigned and corrected. A large focus is put on exam approaches and the correct techniques to approaching questions.
