A new list is being drawn up of Ministers of the Eucharist for Ruan Church.  Anybody who would be willing to be a Minister of the Eucharist would you please let me know before the end of the week.

Tuesday, 11th October in Ruan Community Centre at 8:00pm.  Talk by Fionnuala Cunnane.

TALK FOR PARENTS OF CONFIRMATION CHILDREN

Tuesday, 18th October in Ruan Community Centre at 8:00pm.  Talk by Fionnuala Cunnane.

DRAMA:   Three one-act comedy in Kilnaboy New Hall on 15th/16th October.

1.             What's for Pudding directed by Eileen Lahiff

2.             Mirror Mirror directed by Trish Cleary

3.             Spreading the News directed by Tom Keane.

MEMORIAL SERVICE AND THREE PLANTING CEREMONY:

In memory of the late Johnny Greene this Sunday, 9th October at Ruan School after 11:15am mass.  His songs and recording will be available there.  His family extend an invitation to anybody who knew Johnny to attend.  Refreshments will be available.

 

DAY FOR LIFE MESSAGE:  Pastoral letter for Conference by Bishop. Available at church door.

 

EUCHARISTIC BELL:  Eucharistic Bell will be coming to Ruan and Imeall Boirne parishes on Sunday, 23rd October leaving Ennis at 6:00pm and arriving in Ruan at 7:00pm.

 

RECENT WEDDING:  Congratulations and best wishes to Margaret Ann Leahy and Sean Mullins who were married in Ruan last weekend.

 

PARENTS FOR HEALTH  To keep children healthy and to beat obesity.  Information evening in Glór, Ennis on 19th October from 7:30pm - 9:00pm.

 

MISSION SUNDAY:  23rd October.  A day we think and pray for and support missionaries of all kinds.


CLARE COMMUNITY GAMES KEEP CLARE CLEAN AWARENESS PROJECT:  Age Categories: U6, U8, U10, U12 & U14 on 31st July, 2011.   A special category will also be included.  This year’s competition can take the form of a poster or a poem.  1st & 2nd from each age group, from each category in your area to go forward for county adjudication.  Exhibition and presentations at Ennis Urban Council Offices, Waterpark House, Drumbiggle, Ennis on Friday December 2nd @ 8pm.  Entries should be sent to Moira O’Loughlin or Bernadette Kelly by October 28th, 2011.

 

RUAN GAA NEWS

LOTTO RESULTS 24/9/2011:  Nos. drawn 12, 16, 19, 21.  No jackpot winner.  Five lucky dips:  Eileen Barry, Ml. Crowe, Gerry Leonard, Ger Griffin, Ann Crowe.  

Jackpot for w/e 5/10/2011 is:  €3,900.

U15 CHAMP SUCCESS:  Congratulations to the team and mentors on the magnificent win last Sunday, a fitting testimony to the great work being done by so many unsung heroes over the past number of years.

U10 TOURNAMENT FINAL:  This final takes place in Ruan this Sunday at 12:30pm.  Ruan take on Corofin again.  Please support.

INTER CHAMP REPLAY:  Please support in big numbers as Ruan face a big challenge to reach the final.
