World Missions Ireland on behalf of the Society for the Propagation of the Faith thank you for your support on Mission Sunday.  In 2014, the Mission Sunday Collection in Killaloe Diocese amounted to €64,642.  Thank you for your great generosity in difficult times. The people in Killaloe Diocese have been urged to support missionaries working in some of the world’s poorest countries by donating during the forthcoming Mission Sunday collection on October 18th.  The theme for World Mission Sunday in Ireland this year 2015 is “Abundant Life”. As we thank you for your wonderful generosity to the Missions over the years we invite you to please continue to help our young churches to share the gift of faith though your prayer and whatever financial assistance you can.

Developing Liturgical Music Ministry: A pilot programme has been organised by the Diocese of Killaloe which will help interested people to learn about Liturgy, expand music repertoire, grow in confidence and develop leadership skills. Further details and an explanatory brochure are on the Church Notice Board or are available from Fr Pat.

Ruan Senior Citizens would like to thank the collectors and all those who contributed so generously to our church gate collection in Ruan and Dysart. Total amount collected was €480.80. Many thanks you all. Senior Citizens Christmas dinner will take place in Morty Kelly's on Dec 13th.

Ruan GAA:

Minor Club News:  Under 13 Champions: Ruan had a great win over Broadford in a most exciting and high scoring Under 13C final which went to extra time played in Eire Óg Grounds on Saturday last.  It wasn't until the second half of extra time that Ruan took control and won on a score of 5.15 to 4.11. Ruan went through the championship unbeaten against Whitegate, Cratloe, Broadford, Ennistymon and Broadford again in the final. Great credit must go to the excellent management team of Paul Howard, Geraldine Cahir, Cyril Lyons and Dermot Moran who had coached and prepared this team very well throughout the U13 Championship.
