CLARE COMMUNITY GAMES - KEEP CLARE CLEANAWARENESS PROJECT

Age categories:- U6, U8, U10, U12 & U14 on 31st july, 2011. A special category will also be included. This year’s competition can take the form of a poster or a poem.  1st & 2nd from each age group, from each category in your area to go forward for county adjudication.  Exhibition and presentations at Ennis Urban Council Offices, Waterpark House, Drumbiggle, Ennis on Friday, December 2nd @ 8pm.  Entries should be sent to Moira O’Loughlin or Bernadette Kelly by October 28th, 2011

TALK IN RUAN COMMUNITY CENTRE:   Thursday 3rd November @ 8pm, Speaker Megan McKenna.  She will speak on the Scriptures & in particular the Gospels of St Mary’s.  The Gospels Reading for next year are from St Mark.   All are Welcome.

HALLOWEEN DISCO: Annual Halloween Disco in Ruan Community Centre on Fri 28th Oct from 7-9.  All primary school children in the parish are invited to attend & must be accompanied by an adult.  Fancy dress optional.  €4 per child/€10 per family. 

EUCHARISTIC BELL:  The Eucharistic bell comes to our Parish this Sunday evening at 7pm.  The Bell comes with Four Icons. 1st Icon – Catherine as Eucharist, the bell calls us to Eucharist.  2nd Icon – Word of God – Teaching Christ. 3rd Icon – Feeding Elijah & Raven.  4th Icon – Sending out.  We have a prayer service & exposition of the Blessed Sacrament till 9 pm.  There will also be an opportunity for Confession

Drama:   Ruan Drama group will shortly begin rehearsing for a three act play “Say Cheese” a comedy by Bernard Farrell.  There is a cast of 12 as there are still a number of parts to be filled.  Anyone interested in taking part, either on stage or backstage may contact Gerry Heagney or any member of the Drama Group.
