Local History Group.
Anyone who might have an interest in local history will be welcome to come to the weekly meeting of the local history group which is held in Morty Kelly’s on Tuesday evenings at 8.30pm. Last year the members had a very interesting information night where they exhibited the work they’d gathered to date, pictures and written information, on various townlands around the village.

Craft Mornings.
The craft Mornings held in the kitchen of Toonagh Hall on Wednesday mornings from 11am to 12 noon are proving a great success, with those attending sharing their ideas and hints on crochet and knitting, and enjoying a “cuppa”.
Last week a number of them showed some children from Toonagh School how to make St. Bridget’s Crosses and were delighted with the enthusiasm shown by the children who made fine specimens of their own.

Apostolic Works Society.
The local Apostolic Works Society, which raises funds and helps the foreign missions, are working towards their annual display of works which will be held in Ruan Community Centre on April 15, 2018. Anyone wishing to donate a sacred vessel in memory of someone they wish to commemorate, or on their own, or their family’s account may contact Eileen Roughan, Mary Marrinan or Eileen Hannon.
The support of the community is much appreciated by the members and the recipients of their aid
